Merry and Bright PP374

December 10, 2017

It's Sunday and time for our final challenge of 2017 at the The Paper Players!

Today is Deanne's  (Three Trees Paper Creations)  last week as a Guest Designer.  She has been such a wonderful part of our team for the past year.  I will truly miss her work, but I know she will join us in the gallery when she can.  Thank you, DeAnne for being such an inspiration to all of us!!!

I am the hostess this week and I have a bold, vibrant color palette for all of you!  I needed more Christmas cards, but this color combo has so much potential.  I can't wait to see where your imagination takes you!  Have fun!

My card is created on a Garden Green card base.  I added a panel of Lemon Lime Twist.  The top white panel is trimmed with a stitched border.  I added the sentiment in black.  The three bows are stamped in Melon Mambo and Powder Pink inks.  The stamp set Holiday Bows is from The Ton.  I cut them out with the matching dies.  I added Wink of Stella and clear sparkling sequins for lots of shine.

Dashing Through the Snow--Sketch Saturday #493

December 9, 2017

It's time for a new challenge at Sketch Saturday!

Our sponsor this week is Star Stampz.  The winner will receive 3 digi stamps of their choice from their store.

I love this sketch and all the ways I thought to use it!
I love this little car from Avery Elle!  It makes me smile!  The stamp set is called Dashing.  I colored it with Copic Markers and added some rhinestones to the little tree.  I fussy cut the image.  The background paper was perfect for my sentiment!  The inside sentiment is "Laughing All The Way"!  Hope you are having fun getting ready for Christmas!

Hope you will join us this week!

My card is created on a Basic Gray card base.  I used a bright pink textured piece of card stock that I found in my stash for the top layer.  It was cut using  the Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Frame die.  The poinsettia was stamped in black ink on Smoky Slate card stock and white card stock.  The poinsettia is from Altenew Build A Flower:Poinsettia.  I colored the top poinsettia with 3 shades of red Copic Markers.  The poinsettias were cut using the matching die.  I adhered the red poinsettia  with dimensionals and turned it to make the Smoky Slate one look like the leaves.  Wink of Stella and a few sequins were added for shine.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set. It is stamped with black Versa Fine ink.

Christmas Is Love With Lots of Sugar Sprinkled On Top--PP373

December 3, 2017

WOW!  December has rolled around and we are all at a mad rush to get everything done and still have time to enjoy the season!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!  Our lovely Laurie has a fabulous theme challenge for all of us!  What could be better than Christmas baking?  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  The background paper is from SugarPea Designs Happy Holidays Patterned Paper collection.  It was perfect for my little gingerbread people and baker.  I stamped the characters using SugarPea Designs GingerSnaps and Whiskey Business stamp sets.  They were colored with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced the little girl's apron and hat.  I also added white gel pen accents to the GingerSnaps.  The images were cut out using the matching dies.   sentiment is from the SugarPea Designs Seasons Greetings stamp set.  Wink of Stella was added for lots of shine. I just love the way this card turned out.
