That Succs!-- PP337 and SCC149

March 26, 2017

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

I am babysitting this weekend for  two of my GRANDS, so I was excited that I could combine the challenges.

I am the hostess at The Paper Players this week.  You all know that I love layers!  The beautiful color palette from Sunday Stamps was perfect for the card I wanted to share.  Please make sure you use a minimum of three of the colors in your card.  PLEASE remember NOT to link your card to more than four challenges.  The guidelines are listed below for both challenges.  Just a friendly reminder!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used the MFT Blueprints 20 for cutting the beautiful purple plaid paper from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper pack.  The Stamps of Life Succulents2  stamp set and dies were used on the cactus and pot. I have had this stamp set laying on my table for months.  I love succulents and they have become very popular in decorating.  I do not have a green thumb and people laugh when I say, "I can't keep a cactus alive"!, but it is true.  I cut a Mossy Meadows circle from the Zig Zag Stitched circle die from SugarPea Designs.  The Wild Wasabi rectangle was embossed with an embossing folder that I thought looked southwestern.  The cactus is stamped and colored with Copic Markers.  A few purple enamel dots were added for fun.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from both  design teams and I hope that you will play along with our challenges this week.

Welcome Little Miss Croghan!-- Love Is On The Way

March 25, 2017

Lesley and Corey Croghan are expecting the stork to arrive very soon!  We are all so excited for them!  To celebrate this joyous event a blog hop is taking place. We wanted to send  lots of love to the happy parents to be!

Lesley is such an inspiration to me!  I have admired her work for years and then I was asked to be a part of her Paper Players and The Challenge Design Teams.  It has been such an honor to get to know Leslie.  She is truly an amazing person!  I am honored to call her "MY FRIEND"!

My card is created using the SugarPea Designs Bundle Of Joy stamp set.  I used the Julie Nutting Paper Dolls paper pack for the patterned papers.  Square stitched dies from My Favorite Things  were used for the squares.  The stork is colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut. I paper pieced the little baby blanket.  I added Glossy Accents to the hearts and Wink of Stella to the stork.

A huge Thank YOU to Lori Turner-- Caffeinated Creativity  for organizing this amazing blog hop for Lesley and Corey!

If you would like to add a card to the blog hop, just go to Lori's blog HERE and add your card to welcome Little Miss Croghan.

The Love of Family is our Greatest Blessing--FMS 280

March 23, 2016

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  My lovely friend Linda is the hostess this week and I just love her sketch!

I pulled out my Easter stamps the other day to get started on my cards and I knew I wanted to use this set.  When I saw Linda's challenge, I knew it would be perfect.  I used the MFT Blueprints 20 and Blueprints 13 to cut the yellow scalloped paper and the white stitched paper.  I stamped the little bunnies from SugarPea Designs One Big Hoppy Family stamp set.  I colored them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them. I added white gel pen to their teeth and black gel pen to their eyes.  Wink of Stella was added for shine!  Don't these little bunnies make you want to smile?!?!

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Jingle All The Way!--Merry Monday #240

March 22, 2017

Today I am playing along with the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge.  This week the theme is "Bells"!

I need to get started on my Christmas card stash and hopefully, this is the jump start that I need.

My card is created on a white card base.  I cut a piece of silver foil using the MFT Blueprints 20 die.  I used another die from this set to cut the Tempting Turquoise card stock.  I found these three little bells in  the Simon Says Stamps Swell Christmas stamp     set.  I don't have many stamps with bells, so I was excited when I found this in my stash.  I randomly stamped the bells in Versa Fine ink and heat embossed them in silver to create the card background.  I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of vellum.  I used silver cord to die a bow and added three jingle bells.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!  I love to hear from you so, please leave a comment!

I've Bean Wondering--FMS279

March 19, 2017

I love Rita's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  I have not had much time to play along lately, but made sure I found a few extra minutes today to make a card and play with a stamp set that I have had laying on my desk for weeks screaming, "INK ME, PLEASE"!!!!

My card is created on a white card base.  I know the "DT" loves a lot of white space, but I just had to do the plaid from Lawn Fawn 's Perfectly Plaid paper pack.  The rectangles were cut using SugarPea Designs Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The banners were cut using the MFT Stitched Fishtail Flags Dies .  The jar and bean were stamped using Lawn Fawn's How You Bean Stamp set and Dies.  I colored the pieces with Copic Markers and added a few pop up beans with faces using dimensionals.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Hope you have "bean" doing well!

March 19, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our multi-talented Joanne is our hostess this week!  She wants us to create Clean and Simple Baby Cards.
Have fun and we can't wait to see what you create!

I am also entering my card in the TGIF Challenge.  They also have babies on their minds!

My card is generic for any little one.  I started with a white card base.  The top layer is cut using a scalloped die.  I created a sponged yellow circle using Tim Holtz Squeezed Lemonade distress ink.  The little giraffe is from My Creative Time Hello Baby stamp set and cut using the matching dies.  I colored the giraffe using Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I punched a hole in each end of my banner and ran the ribbon through it.  A small bow is attached to the banner.  Three enamel dots were added for fun.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

Age Is Merely The Number--The Heart Desires Challenge #10

March 15, 2017

I am thrilled to be the Guest Designer today at The Heart Desires Challenge!

A huge thank you to the team for asking me to be a part of their fun challenge!

I was inspired by the maps and the colors in the photo.

My card was created on a white card base.  I found this map paper in my stash and it was the shades of the color palette.  I used the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle die to cut the map paper.  The circles were cut using the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Circle Dies.  I wanted to use this fun Stay Strong stamp set and die from SugarPea Designs.  I searched through all my sentiments and found this one.  "Age Is Merely The Number of Years The World Has Been Enjoying You!"  I thought it was perfect to go along with my map theme.  I colored my strong man with Copic Markers and added a few enamel dots for fun.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Make sure you visit The Heart Desires Challenge blog for lots of inspiration and play along with the challenge!

Sending Big Hugs--PP335 and SSC148

March 12, 2017

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

I am babysitting this weekend for my GRANDS, so I was excited that I could combine the challenges.

The amazingly talented Jaydee is our hostess this week at The Paper Players.  She chose green and white for her color combo!  WOW---so many ways to go with this palette!  The sketch at Sunday Stamps is so versatile.  It is one I will use many times!

My card is created on a white card base.  A piece of wood grain paper was cut using SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The green gingham plaid was cut using a banner die for SU.  The white circle was cut using the Zig Zag Stitched Circle Dies by SugarPea Designs.  The sentiment is Simon Says Stamp Big Scripty Greetings stamped in black Memento ink.  I added a piece of white Baker's Twine and made a simple bow.  The little flowers are heat embossed in white on green card stock.  White enamel dots were added to the centers.  I love the rustic feel of my card.  Perfect for Spring!

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from both  design teams and I hope that you will play along with our challenges this week.

Wishing You the Happiest of Birthdays--PP #334

March 5, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The sensational Sandy is our hostess this week and she has a fun theme challenge for all of us!  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  My patterned papers are from my scrap pile.  I used the MFT Blueprints 20 dies for the yellow and pink backgrounds.  The spinner base, frame and pie pieces are cut using the Spinner Dies from the Stamps of Life.  The little pie pieces are cut in a variety of patterns and stamped with sentiments using the Spinner 2 Stamp Set.  I cut three black arrows and glued them together for durability.  I attached the arrow with a pink heart brad.  The sentiment  banner is cut using SugarPea Designs Stitched Flags dies.  I used a lot of dies to create my card.  I think Sandy will be pleased!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great week!
