Happy Holidays--Merry Monday #177 and Your Next Stamp #25

October 30, 2015

I am so excited to share my card with you today.  I had so much fun making it.  I am entering the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge and the Your Next Stamp sketch challenge.

Retro Christmas lights and glitter are two of my favorite things for the holidays. I received the stamp set Oh Deer--Your Next Stamp and the Light Up The Holidays --Your Next Stamp and couldn't wait to use them.

My base card is Very Vanilla.  All three patterned papers are from a paper pack that I found in my stash. (Santa & Friends-The Paper Studio 6 X 6 pack)  I stamped the lights and deer on Neenah Solar White paper and colored them with a variety of Copic Markers.  I used the matching dies to cut them out.  I also cut a strip of Silver Glimmer paper using the lights die and cut the tops out to make the shiny parts on all the bulbs.

Stampin' Dimensionals were added behind the deer and lights to make them pop.  I added Glossy Accents to the hearts and nose on the reindeer. Wink of Stella was added to the deer and the lights for added sparkle.

I am so happy you stopped by my blog today.  If you have time, please leave a comment.  I do love to hear from you!

I hope you have a wonderful Halloween weekend!

SMILES--FMS 210

October 28, 2015

I am not to jolly today.  Prepping for a colonoscopy tomorrow is NOT fun!  I am so hungry!!!!  So, when I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today, I knew just what I wanted to make.  I got a new paper pack from Doddlebug Designs Paper-SugarPlums Collection It had adorable little gingerbread people on one of the sheets, so I dug out my little gingerbread man die and dreamed of smelling and tasting a yummy, warm gingerbread boy! I think it made my situation worse!  LOL!

My card base is Real Red.  I used the SugarPea Designs rectangle border to cut the gingerbread paper.  I also cut the green patterned paper with the same dies.  I cut little squares using my stitched square dies from Simon Says Stamp.  The gingerbread boys were cut on Soft Suede card stock using the Impression Obsession-Christmas Icons.  I used dimensionals under them to make them pop up.

I cut the "smiles" die out five times and glued them together for lots of dimension and then added Wink of Stella for lots of shine.  Enamel dots were added for fun!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Please leave a comment.  I love to hear from you!  I just keeping thinking about that story, "RUN, RUN" as fast as you can, You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!  Hope my card made you smile!

HUGS!

And I Think To Myself-What A Wonderful World--PPA 273

October 26, 2015

I had a wonderful time in the north GA mountains this weekend with lots of crafty friends.  I must admit, The Pals Paper Arts Challenge, was a CHALLENGE this week.  I redid this card five times before I was happy with it.  And that, My Friends, is why they call it a challenge!

My card base is white.  I added a piece of retired Stampin' Up! kraft/foil paper for shine.  The white panel is stenciled with MFT-Concentric Circles using gold embossing paste.  I added a black square trimmed with my Simon Says Stamp Stitched Dies.  The sentiment is from Serendipity Stamps-And I Think To Myself  I embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I added a piece of gold Baker's Twine for fun!  I love this sentiment and I can send this card to someone for any happy occasion.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!
